Here's the brief. I’m a wife to my best friend and a mama to my two sons (one in college, one in high school). I have a BA in journalism graphics from Ball State and have worked for the last 20-plus years as a graphic designer and photographer. I shifted a bit out of the creative fields as I made my journey into student success via higher education. I was craving something that involved less marketing on my part and more one-on-one connections. Grad school afforded me a lot of opportunities to think so I needed a place to write a lot of the random thoughts that were and are banging around inside my head, and so this site was born.
